Tucked into a pocket in the front of the notebook are printed copies of the pamphlets of the general rundown and native residents of Wonderland that Georgia Mason gave him. Month One+Two Considering everything I've learned about this place so far, I figure it might be a good idea to keep record of everything I know.
So, Wonderland is apparently more than just a children's story written by an old codger in the 1860's. And apparently, he didn't get everything quite precise, but it's close enough that I feel like at this point I'm living a Lewis Carroll nightmare of a kind.
The fact that I've been told our memories are stolen as a part of what runs the magic here makes me feel the need to write what I know down. If I'm reading this and I've forgotten things...there's another notebook with a world tree design on it in the safe in the closet in your bedroom. That one's got your family history in it. All the big notes that matter anyway.
Here's a list of the big To Know's so far
Magic closets - they literally give you anything you want within an arbitrary, Wonderland-decided level of reason
Memories - Are stolen from us, and seem to be part of the big magic that controls Wonderland, overall
Events - Also has a play with the memories; what happens during them is based on memories of the displaced residents of Wonderland; after, the people who's memories the Event came from lose a word or phrase; often, these Events completely rewrite pieces or entire lives of people involved in them.
Deaths - Aren't permanent and you get 4 before things get really wonky; details on how exactly the 5th death gets worse are shaky, but seems to be a big scare tactic, regardless.
Other things of note
Much like the fact we're in a Lewis Carroll nightmare land, it seems who and what constitutes "fiction" is relative here; fairytales and superheroes, etc of some words are very real people with lives in others (served up on a platter for others' entertainment, must be awkward)
At some point or other, there was another version of me running around Wonderland.
Notes on Jessica's vampires
▸ Night-dweller ▸ Silver burns ▸ Human food intolerable ▸ Heightened senses & strength ▸ Accelerated healing ▸ Blood a drug for humans ▸ Glamour is comparable to compulsion
Magic, Memories, and Research
Memories in Wonderland
▸ Lost by speecific people after Events based in their worlds ▸ Used to power the Core ▸ Compulsion or telepathy to retrieve a lost memory (?) ▸ Freya's memory spell ▸ If patterns can be found in the memories being taken, perhaps something can be done about it
Talk to Regina Mills and Michonne
▸ Two of the longest-term residents I've been pointed in the direction of ▸ Do they know of anyone around that's been here longer than themselves? Have either of them had memories taken? Any particularly interesting nuggets of information the less-seasoned Wonderland folk might not be privy to they'd like to share?
Reach out to The Queens
▸ White Queen: Will Mirrors that were erradicated prior to her rule be remade? How will the Mirrors she makes differ from those of the Queen before her? ▸ Red Queen: What can she tell about the magic here, how it works, why memories are so integral to Wonderland? ▸ Queen of Hearts: Currently out of pocket, come back later.
