Personality: OVERALL
CR AU CHANGES
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Here. [Note: These powers are no longer in effect;]
As of his CR AU, Kol is no longer a vampire, but instead, is now a witch, equal to that of Esther's capabilities. Additionally, Kol is well-versed and schooled in various types of magic in his world, as well as some basic things based in the Supernatural universe because of his time spent there. His limits and abilities for his world's witches can be found here.
BASIC POWERS
Common powers all witches have.
Spell Casting: The power to change and control events through the use of incantations and more.
Channeling: The power to invoke extra forms of energy by focusing on external forces.
Potion Brewing: The power to brew and concoct potions, remedies and elixirs that have supernatural properties.
Telekinesis: The power to move objects and persons through mental influence.
Pain Infliction: The power to create excruciating migraines through supernatural means.
ADDITIONAL POWERS
Things that are harder for the average witch to do, but Kol has the experience and knowledge to handle it.
Possession: The power to jump ones spirit into the body of another, taking control of said host body.
Resurrection: The power to bring someone or something back from the dead. [This takes a significant amount of energy and magic and he certainly couldn't do it alone. He has more knowledge on it than experience with it.]
Primarily, Kol uses Traditional or Ancestral magics. He does have a wide base of knowledge for other styles of magics and is a known creator of several Dark Objects, ordinary objects that are infused with power from a witch and possess various, often destructive or harmful effects. These are made using the practice of Kemiya.
Traditional or Nature Magic
The purest and oldest form of magic, ruled by Nature. It's the most common of all the magics. Witches must draw on their own energy which can have physical effects on them during use.
Ancestral Magic
Commonly used among witches in New Orleans, this magic draws energy from the power of every ancestral witch who has been consecrated into New Orleans soil.
Kemiya
A magical practice founded in Arabia that is said to cross the boundaries of magic and science. It allows for the fusion of a witches power into an ordinary object. This practice requires two witches to perform and it's success depends on the magical chemistry of the two users.
OTHER PRACTICES HE UNDERSTANDS/HAS A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF
Dark Magic
What is says on the tin. Magic that draws on malevolent powers and is most often used for negative purposes.
Expression
An extremely dark and dangerous power that is not monitored by Nature. Expression is essentially the manifestation of a witches' will. It's almost limitless in the possibility and is often disregarded by witches because of the danger it poses.
Sacrificial Magic
Dependent on ritualistic sacrifices of animals or supernatural creatures.
Spirit Magic
Magic that pulled it's energy from the Spirits on The Other Side. Since its collapse, this magic has become extinct.
Siphoner Magic
Magic that isn't really magic so much as it is a theft. These types of witches are seen as abominations, born without the innate ability to create their own magic. They drain the power from other witches instead.
Traveler Magic
A subset of magic culture only practices by Travelers, these witches specializes in spirit possession. Alone, their power is relatively weak, but in groups they are a force to be reckoned with.

First Person: [When the feed clicks on, a face that may be familiar to some fills the screen. He looks less than amused as he glances at something off screen. "Yeah, yeah, all right. I got your welcome spiel, sod off." he mutters at someone who can be heard trying to explain the map he's been given.
The video gets a little shaky as he walks off from the masses around the docks.] Well, well, it looks like I've come to your blasted lil islands the real way this time. I'm not bloody happy about it, but I'm guessin' you lot haven't found a way back to where you come from yet, so I'm stuck, huh?
Time for people I know to sound off. Who's here? And if Lawrence, Kansas means anything to you, you lot feel free to chime in, too.
Third Person: Kol awakens on the boat with the others, instantly angry in his confusion. He glances around for any potentially familiar faces that he might bother try striking a conversation with and waits with the rest of them for the real answers. Luckily, it doesn't take long before they're arriving at the docks, the boat settling in at the port and everyone's piled off and greeted with a bare-bones explanation that boils down to one important thing to Kol: He's stuck. And there's no way back to where he had been before he arrived here.
The device shoved at him is familiar enough that he'll figure out the network soon to truly get his bearings. The map means little to him, although the convenience of having a house all prepped and ready for him is oddly familiar in a way he doesn't much want to think about. Because it just leads to he idea of everything he's lost. Again. Because maybe he doesn't actually deserve any of the things the rest of the multiverse had handed him.
For now, he's going to roam about and see what all he can find in this place that might be of any interest to him.
Finally, out of the 4 words, pick one: Chimes, lake, gravel, or sun? Lake

CR AU: See below
Personality: OVERALL
Kol has a certain youthful and nearly playful attitude most of the time, with a much darker twist. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and often patronizes his siblings with his cheeky snark and contempt. He is not the most stable sort of person, very unpredictable with bouts of rather erratic behaviors. He isn't one for rules, they are only made to be broken as far as he is concerned. Kol's emotions are extremely fluid and one can fade directly into another in mere moments and without so much as a simple warning.
He has a great sense of pride for who and what he is. He is an Original and that means he is above the rest, he is a force to be reckoned with and someone to be feared. He has an unending loyalty towards his family. Like most of the other siblings, despite their extremely dysfunctional and tense relationships, there is absolutely nothing that Kol would consider off limits if it meant keeping his family safe and together.
Despite their forever-strained relationships, Kol's loyalties will always lie with his siblings. He is closest to his baby sister, Rebekah, she is the one that he feels understands him more than any of his brothers. She is the one he opens up to easiest about things and many times over the years he actually tried to get her to leave with him, but to no avail. He finds Elijah occasionally dull (though nowhere near as much as Finn!) and believes he should loosen up and have some fun and often mocks him for being stuffy and boring. And then there is Klaus. The sibling at the root of all of their dysfunction, as far as Kol is concerned. If not for Nik, the rest of them probably could have had happier lives filled with much less tension and heartache--and less decades-long naps to boot. There is a part of him that always hated his half-brother, if nothing else for the fact that he alone took the shine of brutality in the family and, well, Kol wanted a name made in his own right, not simply by being associated with and overshadowed by the terror of his brother.
Kol, like all of his siblings, possesses a great acting ability and can play nice and respectable when needed, especially to get something he wants. One need not to forget how aggressive that occasionally respectable man can get, however. He is menacing and at times unreasonable and it is not suggested to get on his bad side because it will not end well.
Condescending and arrogant, Kol truly does believe he is of a higher class than those around him, often his family members being the only ones who can stand on the same level as himself. He's an argumentative sort and as such his mouth is likely to land him in some trouble and he has a knack for troublemaking and stirring the pot. He is the decadent sibling, focused on fun and pleasure, unfortunately for some, his tastes stray on the murderous side of things.
Romantic endeavours have never been a concern for him. He sleeps with anyone he pleases and rarely with the same person for any significant period of time. He has often mocked Rebekah's own desperate need for love because he does not really see the need for it. He has never held anything that could be considered a real relationship in all his years on Earth. Whether it be because of an inability to love, or simply not finding the right person to strike his interest is up for debate.
Despite this unpredictability that seems to define him, Kol can be very patient and methodical when he needs to be. He is cold and calculating, always trying to stay a few steps ahead, plan his next move and consider all of the different angles that could lead to a need to change his game. Once he has made up his mind, Kol is a very persistent sort and does not easily give up on a goal. However that same persistence that often gave him the upper-hand ended up being his downfall in the end.
CR AU CHANGES
Kol is still largely the same person he's always been--loud, brash, a bit obnoxious and usually erring on the fun and pleasurable sides of life. But there have been things in his time in Lawrence that have really changed him and shook up his view of things.
First and foremost, it should be mentioned that while he is mostly just about as violent as he's always been, he's learned to channel it a bit more into ways that are more helpful to a cause. He went on hunts against monsters with no chance of redemption in the last world he was in, fueled the rage and thrill for the kill into that rather than slaying innocents for fun. This is probably one of the biggest and most significant changes he's gone through.
In Lawrence, Kol had chances he never had before with the sorts of people he'd never met before. People who had seen bigger and badder, people who had saved the world from types like he and his family. He had chances with people who didn't judge him for past actions, or things other people from back home told them, rather they judged on their own terms and personal interactions with him. Having people around who didn't fear him, that would stand their ground against him, and who saw something not just purely monstrous in him gave him pause and helped him make friends, true friends who cared for him and weren't afraid to call him out when he was out of line.
People giving him the chance to be his own person, to not be seen as just another Mikaelson or as Nik's brother lead him to seeking out more of an understanding of the way people, these good and honest people giving him chances they didn't have to grant him, look at the world. He sought out opinions and thoughts on why they chose the way they did, the right path, the right choice, the good and honest way. He had several genuine conversations out of it and, while it hasn't completely changed his world view and he still holds to a lot of things most wouldn't agree to, it all gave him a new perspective, a new appreciation for the idea of humanity and might have even connected him to his own a bit more
One other huge change in his time in Kansas is, he's found that he is, in fact, capable of the romantic sort of love. He found it in both a demon and an angel, and it hit him over the head out of nowhere. He's still largely awkward with the whole ideal of it, finding his footing in these feelings he'd never truly experienced before
Overall, he's still the same guy he's always been. But he has gained some interesting perspectives that have helped him slowly ease into the person he is now.

Game Premise
The game was centered in Lawrence, Kansas, set within the Supernatural universe. Sam Winchester made a massive mistake when he completed all of the tasks previously thought meant to stop the Apocalypse. Instead, he released Lucifer from his Cage and set the end of days into motion. During the breaking of one of the Seals, a rip in space and time was created and the broken Seal started dragging people from other universes into Lawrence.
The Apocalypse was coming and the best guess as to why people were pulled from other worlds was simple: They were meant to help stop it from happening. The thought was that if they stopped it, everyone would be sent home, purpose complete. There were many trying events created by magic, such as people turning into animals or power sets being flipped, only being able to speak in rhymes or select groups of people being sent to other worlds in the multiverse temporarily, and many other unthinkable sorts of things.
Along with these, there were the demons and other various monsters plaguing the world that needed hunting and killing. There were moral quandaries in every direction, sometimes the Seal allowed less than savory people through and they had mass murderers and the like to deal with on top of keeping on track with ending the Apocalypse.
People set into their lives and tried to live as normally as possible, despite everything. Some people managed to make friendships, even families during their time there. Others chose to isolate themselves for risk of being hurt if the Seal took their loved ones away. Slice-of-life meets the Apocalypse. Welcome to Lawrence.
Wariscoming Game History
Kol arrives in Lawrence shortly after his death in a whole hell of a lot of confusion because this does not look even a little bit like The Other Side. And he's pretty sure he's alive and is not at all sure how that happened, considering the flaming glory he went out in moments before. Soon after, he finds familiar faces—his siblings are here, the day is saved! Sort of.
Shortly after settling in, he has a run-in with Vicki Donovan and Jeremy Gilbert. This goes about as well as can be expected. He kind of takes a bit of a liking to Vicki, but when Jeremy waltzes up it kind of sours his mood. There's a lot of blaming going on because Jeremy was part of the Gilbert-kids tag-team that did him in, and Jeremy hasn't lived that and feels it's unfair to be judged for future actions he hasn't actually committed.
Kol finds out Vicki has no control when she has an almost-accident during one of Bobby Singer's hunter's camp sessions. He talks to her brother Matt about how best to help her and handle this. Despite some initial wariness, Matt agrees and Kol takes Vicki under his wing and helps teach her control of her still too-new vampire abilities. His methods aren't conventional, but it works.
Eventually seeking out advice from people about his family and their many dramas, Kol ends up with a few rather unlikely friendships. First, Rose Tyler, who happens to be the very first person outside of his family that he opened up to about anything serious. She became a sort of rock and foundation in his support group. Next, Lois Lane (Smallville style), became another quick and fast confidant for him. These two women, who knew the vague broad strokes of all that he'd done, still gave him the chance to begin building himself into a better version of who he was, and they kind of formed the foundation of a lot of the way things changed for him later.
In the early days of September, now 3 months into his new and ever-changing, ever-dramatic life in Lawrence, Kol poses a question to the masses of the displaced: Why are some people vilified for bad, future actions they have yet to commit, while others are given a free pass? This naturally leads to a lot of arguments breaking out, but it also created several conversations for Kol to truly consider. Including one in particular with Robin Hood, who actually managed to shed some light on how sometimes, people just have to accept things as they are, even when they don't make sense or they are unfair.
Around the end of the month, Kol is possessed by a demon. A demon puppeting an Original went down about as well as could be expected. He ruined all of the work that Kol and Vicki had done to get her on a good track, tortured an innocent vampire for grins and giggles, and generally tried to wreck every single relationship Kol had built in his short time here. Kol is trapped inside his own head with no way out and has to watch while friends and family members alike are fooled into believing he's the one behind the words being said and actions taking place.
When the demon goes on the run, it takes almost a week before Rebekah catches up and exorcises it, sending it straight back to hell. However, a complication arises when, on the way out, the demon flips the switch on Kol's emotions and he spends another week or so outside of his usual self where he continues to wreck his personal relationships and brags a lot to Crowley, who the vampire has been sort of in an bit of an on-going fling with for a few weeks, about his skills in the bedroom.
Eventually, Lexi, the psychotic vampire whisperer, manages to strike a nerve and get Kol to feel something and eventually turn his emotions back on. This is what she does, she's good at helping people come back from their time off the rails and get back to who they really are.
Mid-way through October, an attack is launched on the main apartment complex occupied by most of the displaced and several other important buildings around the city. Caroline Forbes, the girl that brother Klaus has taken such a liking to and is dating and who happens to mostly be adopted by the family now, is killed in the explosion. Nik handles it really horribly, as expected. A few days later, Kol is the one that finds Caroline when she returns, thanks to magic from the Seal. He also discusses some family drama with Crowley, who he's recently started seeing in a pretty casual way.
November spells trouble when Crowley ends up in over his head with Lucifer and Kol has a lot of emotions about it. The pair of them escape to a hotel for some quality time and end up having a pretty deep and serious conversation that reveals the very beginnings of something a little bit more like a relationship than a fling, even if neither of them are anywhere near close to admitting it.
Everything that the community of the displaced and locals involved as a whole have been working and building toward finally comes to a head, December brings the Apocalypse along with it and everyone has to play their part. Kol spends time with Crowley in the aftermath of the hardest, most brutal battle anyone could have fought. With Rebekah, and several others, lost to the Cage in the final moments, the remaining displaced are left to regroup and begin repairs on the city at large, while Crowley and a handful of others work on finding a way to hopefully open the Cage and retrieve the fallen, without also releasing Lucifer and Michael all over again and making all their efforts be for nothing
In the end, with some rather tricky and detailed spell work, the trapped are released from the Cage and reunions happen all around. Their time in the place was brutal, and equivalent of the levels of hell detailed out in Dante's Inferno, living in constant loops of terror and pain and hunger and rage. The toll on those involved is harsh, and the oncoming weeks and months thereafter are hard, particularly for Rebekah, who in addition to the mental and emotional pain and detachment, is also having trouble feeding as a result.
Early January brings a long since-lost, but never forgotten little brother to the Mikaelsons, which does at least, tend to help bring the siblings closer. At least for awhile, and for his sake. Mid-way through the month, still reeling from recently managing the gaining back of Cage victims—and rather successfully, thanks—and all that had come with it, including keeping Ruby calm and a temporarily emotionless Rebekah, Crowley gives Kol a gift. His bones, and his true name. And it's all in the name of safe-keeping and ensuring no one can get utterly rid of him now that Crowley's taking on being King of Hell. But it also is a weirdly huge step in their relationship, in the trust they have built into each other by now.
February brings a need for a very specific brand of advice that only Rebekah can offer, and quickly leads to a vampire and a demon admitting things to each other in terms they've never spoken of before. That dreaded, feared, never-whispered L-word exists between them now. And will promptly be rarely ever used again because what is normal, anyway? Later in the month, Ruby's attitude over the open discussion of contingency plans against the Mikaelsons—and, admittedly also others deemed in any form dangerous, but those are details too deep for a brief summary—and chats with Elijah a bit about it, among other things.
After an odd, Seal-wibble of magic in March that turned most of his siblings into the much smaller, much more human, much more adorable and sweetest versions of themselves while Kol was suddenly the oldest, he goes off to think for a bit. Muse over things that were said to him by the tiny versions of his siblings. And Nik just happens to find him and they have an honest-to-God, great, brotherly moment for the first time in a very long while.
April brought with it a lot of drama, in the arrival of Marcel Gerard, Kol's mostly-nephew and one of the more important of Nik's sires, as well as Anna Milton, the angel that Crowley had once had a thing with.
The news of Marcel's arrival was met with a lot more joy than other things, but as with all levels of Mikaelson situation, there was a bit of drama. Mostly in form of Kol realizing that in the future, none of his siblings had spoken word of his death to Marcel. He chats with Caroline about it, because going over it with family would only lead to more hurt than was necessary, given none of them were from the proper point in the timeline to actually give reason to their actions.
Somewhere between all the drama that Anna had brought with her—panic that Crowley would leave him, jealousy of what he knows was once between the angel and the demon, the paranoid thought that maybe Anna would steal him away somehow—she and Kol manage a rather perfect moment, which sort of changes everything for all three of them.
When Elijah makes the decision to marry Katherine, much to all of his family's annoyance and warnings of how bad of a life decision this will clearly turn out to be, Kol makes a point to her, just to make sure she knows what will befall her if she hurts his brother. Again.
Summer of 2014, a good several months out from the Apocalypse and the Cage, and things are still rather hard on Rebekah. She feels too much, was hurt too hard by her time trapped in the Cage—all just to save Nik, what a waste, he's done nothing but make her regret it ever since, though she'd never change a thing about her actions if given the chance at a do-over—and ultimately is still having a lot of issues feeding. Kol tries to give her the space she needs, but when she calls, he's always there, for any distracting or comforting that he can offer. When he catches a bit of time to himself, Kol just sort of has to take a bit of time to sort his head.
All of Rebekah's issues, added with plenty of other family issues in all directions—Rebekah's marriage to Stefan Salvatore, Elijah's engagement to Katherine, Nik's entire lack of grace at accepting that Rebekah sacrificed herself for him at the Cage, a plan conceived by Jacen Solo to help the family see things from each other's eyes that includes a lot of loss of agency which was met with a lot of wariness—Kol decides to try and move things along. Find a way to fix it, or at least get on the track to it.
His attempt utterly backfires, quite epically and ends in Klaus ultimately deciding to disown the lot of them, save Henrik. Kol doesn't handle it well at all because he's done nothing in his time in Lawrence but try to fix things and make a better go of things with his family this time in this place where they had the chance to be more than what they ever were back home. And every time, it's been thrown in his face and burned to the ground. This particular instance was just a last straw that, while everyone may have expected on some level, no one ever saw as something that would ever truly come to light. And now that it has...a family is broken. Utterly, heartbreakingly broken, with no sign of possible repair in the future.
The next six or so months are spent largely to himself and his group of friends and his pair of walking blasphemous lovers. He helps his sister who is still struggling with the aftermath of her time in the Cage and becomes closer to his brother-in-law than anyone might have imagined a Mikaelson and a Salvatore to manage.
December of 2015 brings something that had become a bit of a norm around Lawrence-- singing, glittery Christmas wish baubles. Kol debates for a long time before deciding on his wish: To be a witch again, as he was always meant to be. Because the wish baubles adhere to the rules of a person's world, and in their homeworld, a person can't be both a witch and a vampire at the same time, this means he completely loses every right and power to anything his vampirism gave him. And additionally, he's human and mortal again. This decision was a bit dicey, and Crowley really hated the mortal bit that came along with it and started seeking out a way to fix that issue. Yes, sefish, but in the eternal words of the King of Hell: "Hello, demon!"
Game Premise
This was a GPSL formed as a spin-off of Wariscoming by a group of us that had a falling out with a large number of people in the previous game. It is essentially a slice-of-life set within a separate world that mirrors our own. There are occasional jamjar game style events, but no true over-arching plot.
Slipped Game History
[Note: Due to the very relaxed way this game has, and the lack of over-reaching plot and the like, there is not a ton to report here, but I'll give a bit of a summary regardless! I just...apoogize for the massive lacking details this has in comparison to the first! It simply isn't a properly structured game, so it's a bit harder to pin down.]
In January of 2015, Kol and a number of other former-Lawrence residents arrived in a largely empty housing development lot. All the houses were lined up in neat little rows and looked wildly same-y. They showed up in houses all their own (in some cases, with roommates, depending on the arrival of their housemates from the last world being present) complete with their belongings, pets, and anything else they had with them back in Lawrence. They spent the first couple of weeks assuming it was a "Seal delivered field trip", full expecting to be sent back to Lawrence at the end of 2 weeks, as they often were when things like this happened.
But those 2 weeks came and passed and they were still there. New people began to arrive, people who hadn't been in Lawrence before. And eventually they all had to accept that they were simply being tossed around the multiverse and had to start over again.
This was a low blow, in a lot of ways. Kol and Crowley had each other, but they both lost Anna in the move between universes and neither of them handled it very well in the beginning. Given time, they've managed well enough, but there's a gap no one can fix there. There were friends and family members lost in the wake of the shift of worlds, and even...a sense of peace and calm that put most of them more on edge than the constant fight in Lawrence had done. Because in the wake of defeating The Actual Devil in The Real Apocalypse, how do you simply accept that things are normal now?
The family have their own little section of the world carved out, and they have lives they'd all so desperately wanted for centuries now. Rebekah and Stefan have all but formally adopted a girl that came along from Lawrence, Jesse Hauptman. She's 18 and preparing for college now. Caroline, who'd been dating Klaus back in Lawrence, was found to be pregnant and eventually gave birth to a daughter, Charlotte. Katherine and Elijah had their wedding and eventually, their twins: Anabeth and Adrian.
The displaced community in this world is very much that-- a community. There isn't much in way of in-fighting like there had been in Lawrence and there's no constant doom looming overhead. There don't even seem to be monsters in this world, aside from the ones the unseen Powers That Be dragged and dropped into this place. Everyone simply had to find their own niches in the world and try to figure out how to live as normal of a life as possible.
Other Notes
This particular version of Kol was on the islands for 2 weeks during the AU plot in August 2016. He had a very confusing time of it with Davina Claire and Elijah, trying to sort out what was happening and piecing together that they were very much not the versions of them he knew. He also had a rather emotional re-meeting with Anna Milton. He will remember these things upon his actual proper arrival in the boats.
What 4 items would you like your character to have with them on the island during their stay?
• Esther's Grimoires

Series of books that contain all of the spells/rituals his mother has cast or studied through the centuries
•Asmodeus, the corn snake

A gift from Elijah 2 years ago.
•A bottle of Craig's, aged 30 years

•A single angel feather

Lake
